Professor Abdul Bari: A Scholar Nurtured by Wisdom and Inspired by History

Born on June 6, 1976, in the historic town of Khanbela, Tehsil Liaquatpur, District Rahim Yar Khan, Professor Abdul Bari stands as a paragon of scholarly dedication and a deep-rooted connection to his cultural and academic heritage.

His academic journey commenced at Govt High School Khanbela, Liaquatpur, where he laid the foundation for his intellectual pursuits. Moving forward, he pursued Intermediate studies under the Faisalabad Board, culminating in a distinguished graduation from Islamia University Bahawalpur. Undeterred by challenges, Professor Bari continued his academic ascent, obtaining both his Masters and M.Phil degrees from the esteemed Islamia University Bahawalpur.

The pinnacle of his academic journey lies in his pursuit of a Ph.D. from the same institution, with only the defense remaining—an endeavor that reflects his unwavering commitment to the pursuit of knowledge.

Professor Bari's extensive government service, which began on September 5, 2002, showcases his dedication to public education. His tenure stands as a testament to his commitment to shaping the minds of future generations.

In reflecting on his own academic journey, Professor Bari acknowledges the profound impact of his favorite teachers—Sayed Mahmoodul Hassan, Sayed Shahid Hassan Rizvi Sahib, and Sir Dr. Mazher Hussain Sahib. Their mentorship has undoubtedly contributed to shaping his scholarly outlook.

A fervent reader of the Holy Quran, Professor Bari finds solace and inspiration in its verses, aligning his academic pursuits with his spiritual journey. His love for history extends to his favorite books, encompassing the rich tapestry of Islamic history, the Ottoman Empire, the decline of the Great Mughals, the history of Muslim Spain, and the ancient history of India.
